Head of People Operations (US Based), COMPANY OPERATIONS (Full-time, Remote)
We’re looking for a Head of People Operations to build, refine, and lovingly obsess over the systems that take care of our humans. This role is part culture architect and part “I’ve got a spreadsheet for that.” You’ll own our HR infrastructure from payroll to hiring, ensuring our team feels supported and aligned without burning out. If you care about both the numbers and the nervous systems, and you’re ready to design people processes that are life-giving rather than soul-crushing, we’d love to meet you.
PROGRAM ADVISOR (INSIDE SALES), UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS (FULL-TIME, REMOTE)
Are you part counselor, part translator, and part emotional support human? We’re looking for a Program Advisor to be the first "real person" families talk to after they’ve fallen down the college admissions rabbit hole. In this role, you’ll trade the "hard sell" for deep listening, helping stressed-out parents determine if our 1-on-1 coaching is the right fit for their student. If you have strong WiFi, high empathy, and the ability to project professionalism from the waist up via Zoom, we’d love to meet you.
COLLEGE ESSAY SPECIALIST, UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS (REMOTE, CONTRACT)
College Essay Guy is always looking to connect with experienced college essay specialists! Each year, Ethan and our coaching team collaborate with a group of essay coaches to help guide students through the process of reflecting on their lives and creating compelling essays and applications. While we are not actively hiring for immediate openings, we invite you to submit your interest now, and we will follow up with you when we are hiring again.
Volunteer Matchlighters CounseloR, MATCHLIGHTERS (PART-TIME, Remote)
Are you interested in volunteering to help high-achieving students from low-income households write great college essays and/or develop an awesome and balanced college list? We could use your experience and generous heart. Volunteer counselors agree to a minimum commitment of 10 hours of essay and application support.

We are looking to hire a Family Liaison to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be the liaison between College Essay Guy and families whose students work with us through the college essay writing process.

The CEG blog received over 6 million visits in 2023 and we’re growing fast. Love to write? Love education? Our blog writers to help us create resources that will bring more ease, joy, and purpose to students’ educational journey.
