How do I access the product I purchased? How do I login?

There are two different places to login to your College Essay Guy account:

  1. If you have purchased the Counselor Premium version of Essay Workshop in a Box, you can login here. You can access this product here.

  2. If you have purchased ANY OTHER of our online video courses or live webinars, you can login here. You can access all of your products in your library.

What do I do if I forgot my login username or password?

There are two possible different logins for your College Essay Guy account:

  1. If you are trying to access the Counselor Premium version of the Essay Workshop in a Box, you can reset your password by going here and clicking on “lost password?”. You’ll then receive an email with more information about resetting your password.

  2. If you have purchased ANY OTHER of our online video courses or live webinars and are having trouble accessing your account, you can reset your password by going here and clicking on “Forgot your password?” You’ll then receive an email with more information about resetting your password.

Can I receive products at a discounted rate? What does “pay-what-you-can” mean and how do I do it?

Pay-what-you-can means that you can get access to any of the products on our website by paying any amount that you can afford. This means that, for example, if you can only pay $47 for a product (regardless of the regular price), you can pay that amount. This also means that if you can’t afford to pay anything, you can get access to the product for absolutely free.

You can pay-what-you-can for a product by going to the product landing page (for example, here is the one for the One-Week Personal Statement Boot Camp) and clicking on the grey pay-what-you-can button (for example, here’s where they are typically located).

This will send you an email with a coupon that you can use for the amount that you selected. If you selected “Other” it may take a day or two to receive the email, otherwise, you should receive the email instantly. Once you have this coupon, you can click on the link in step one of the email and follow the instructions. If you’re having trouble figuring out where to put the coupon, you can find it here.
IMPORTANT! Make sure to apply the coupon before advancing to the next page, otherwise your card will be charged full price. And that’s it! You will receive an email with more information about how to access the course.

Can I get a discounted price if I register many students at once?

There are two ways to register many students for a course at once.

Way 1: If you are an Independent Educational Consultant or if you are a counselor at a school in which a majority of its students do not qualify for free or reduced lunch, then you can become a College Essay Guy Partner and can purchase licenses in bulk at a discount.

Way 2: If you work for a non-profit or or if you are an IEC or school counselor that serves primarily low-income students, then you can get highly-discounted licenses. Simply send an email to [email protected] that mentions the course or courses that you’d like to register your students for and the price that your students would be able to pay for these courses. We will create a coupon for this amount that your students can use during their checkout.

Can I use your materials with my students?

Absolutely! All that we ask is that you leave the logo and website on the materials. You can find more information here.

If I’ve signed up for a live webinar, how do I join?

If you’ve signed up for a live webinar, you will have received an email that looks like this. When the air time arrives, click on the hyperlink next to “Link:” and you will be prompted to join the online course after downloading and installing a small program.

What if I signed up for a live course with my parent/guardian’s email address but I want to make sure that I (the student) am receiving all of the coursework and links to webinars?

Send us an email at [email protected] with the email you signed up with and the email you’d us to replace it with and we’ll change your information for you.
